Lately, I feel quite nostalgic for Symbi where I spent about four years of my life studying engineering. I was flipping through the photos in my phone's gallery and came across various cherishable memories in the form of these photographs only to realize why haven't I thought of doing a blog on the same. So here I am, sharing my bit with you all. But first, let me brief you about my journey.
I came to Pune for the first time in 2015 with lots of excitement and aspirations. I luckily got an admit from Symbiosis Institute of Technology which comes under the "Umbrella of Symbiosis International University". Since the campus was on the outskirts of Pune, it was difficult for us students to travel to the city area often. But we never complained because whatever we needed was available out and about the campus with a breath-taking view from the hill-top campus. Yes, you read that right "Hill-Top". There were two campuses namely, Hill-Top and Hill-Base, mine was at the Hill-Base but there was a shuttle bus service that ran between the campuses every half an hour to ensure smooth commute. However, fitness enthusiasts and nature lovers always used to walk or run between the campuses including myself.
Although many times, I was under the pressure of studies, completing assignments, and working on projects somehow I managed to make time for walking around the campus be it hill-top or hill-base. The best time was when there used to be events taking place in the form of festival celebrations or sports.
Most people always wanted to live off-campus as they wanted more freedom and easy access to the city however I was never amongst them probably relating to the fact that I loved the ambiance of my campus and the safety it provided. I am not implying that one should take admission in a university-based on just the ambiance and not other factors like university ranking and quality education. But, at the same time, one cannot neglect the value of a pleasant surrounding when they are not studying and want to engage in something de-stressing.
So finally, scrolling through the four years, the journey soon came to an end with the
"Farewell-Ceremony" and exams. Soon after, the exams were over, everyone on-campus started vacating the hostel and I was the only one left. To kill loneliness, I decided to capture the university on my phone as a souvenir for myself. Looking back, I realize that it was the best decision I have ever made to be a part of this wonderful university that gave me lots and lots of memories and life-lessons along with shaping me into who I am today.
Now, I am gonna leave you all with the photographs of the university to give you a glimpse of my undergraduate journey.
