My journey to Brussels began in Paris from where I took a coach to reach there. Brussels is the capital of Belgium which is famous for its largest municipality and historic centers. What did I do in Brussels?

I stayed in Brussels only for a night and walked around the city all day long. The walking tour although tiring, surprised me with the beautiful sights along the way. Now let's see the spots which you must visit when in Brussels.
1) Grand Palace- This UNESCO world heritage site is the central market square and is considered the most beautiful place on the earth. I visited this place in the evening and enjoyed watching the light show at the square. Soon after, I visited various shops and bought the famous Belgian Chocolates along with other souvenirs. If you happen to be here during a peak season, you might also witness the flower carpet event and many more popular ones.

2) Atomium- To reach here, take the metro. This seminal totem is a giant model which is a mixture of sculpture and architecture representing European history. It comprises of walking tours through tubes giving a panoramic view of Brussels and also has restaurants, boutiques and different exhibitions occasionally taking place. Since I visited this place in the evening, I couldn't explore the place enough but whatever I saw, was epic.

3)Manneken-Pis- This beauty is nothing but a little statue of the boy urinating into the fountain's basin. As the legend says, it is a symbol of a boy saving the city from being burnt. I desperately wanted to visit this place but unfortunately, could not make time for it. But, it is a must-visit tourist spot.

4)Parlamentarium- This is a visitor center of the European Parliament which takes them through the exhibits with the help of a personal multimedia guide. Security is ensured by the use of airport-style bag and visitor scanners at the entrance. It is truly an amazing place to know the history of Europe.

5)European Commission- It is a governing body of Europe that is responsible for the legislative decisions, EU treaties, and business with other countries. Here, I and my group were addressed regarding the current situations within the Schengen region and their relations with India. Really, it is a wonderful place to visit.
